iViva Cuba!

Here is a sample of the photos I took while in Cuba this June. I know others will go into depth about the things I do not mention, so stay tuned for further Coog postings!
While in Cuba I learned about food, economics, politics, human development, public health, music, and art. I believe Cuba inspired everyone in different ways, and I most connected to Cuba's artistic side. I am a fan of art across all time frames, styles, and periods, but I have never seen art as unapologetically raw as I have in Cuba. From graffiti to art galleries, to books at Ediciones Vigia, Cuban art
stood to leave me stupefied. The styles of the artists I had the opportunity to view involved a lot of pigs, nudes, and abstractions of animals and cars. It amazed me that with Cuba's history, there are still people wielding paint brushes steaming with inspiration. I hope you enjoy my photos. Go Coogs!
